Happy Aniversary

Today marks the 8th year since I linked my life to my wife, Darleane.

She taught me what it meant to believe in something, to believe in myself, and to stand up for that. She taught me what it felt like to be worth something and showed me the beauty that was in me if I had the courage to grasp for it.

She showed me the happiness that can be found in everyday life. She showed me the peace that can be felt in the little things. She showed me that love isn't a lie and that it can be returned without strings. She showed me how to be a friend.

She taught me to trust again. She helped me find myself and to set my feet on the path I was meant to walk. Today marks 8 years of learning and loving. Of sharing and experiences I wouldn't trade for anything. It also marks the day she saved my life. And for that I will be ever grateful.
